ASCS Southwest Hops Into Central Arizona Speedway For Pre Easter Extravaganza

(April 11, 2019) Easter Weekend is almost upon us, and with that, a return to Central Arizona Speedway for the ASCS Southwest Region on Saturday, April 13 for the Hippity Hoppity Easter Showdown complete with Sprint Cars, Easter Egg Hunt, Bicycle, and Easter Basket Giveaway.

The season’s first trip to Central Arizona Speedway, the second round of action on the 2019 slate sees J.T. Imperial atop the point standings with Lorne Wofford and Jesse Baker giving chase. Since 2013, the series has visited Central Arizona Speedway 10 times with Rick Ziehl and Colton Hardy being the only drivers with a pair of wins. The inaugural visit on May 18, 2013, was topped by Lorne Wofford. Two visits to the high banked, three-eighths-mile oval in 2018, the wins went to Colton Hardy and Geoff Ensign.

Saturday, April 13 at Central Arizona Speedway open at 5:00 P.M. with races slated to begin at 7:00 P.M. Additional classes include IMCA Modifieds, Sport mods, 600cc Micros, and Bombers. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for Senior and Military, with kids 11 and under admitted free into the Grandstands.
