Zenz Steals Victory at the Finish Line
Pole sitter, Ken Sandberg, had his hands full in the IMCA Sport Compact feature. Sandberg battled three wide for the lead with Greg Zenz and Christopher Zenz. Greg Zenz shuffled into the lead, bringing Christopher Zenz with him. As Greg Zenz started to pull away, points leader Seth Howe-Kellar passed Sandberg for third. Sandberg started to fall into the clutches of Andy Reed. As the laps wound down, Christopher Zenz started to close in on his father, Greg. As Greg drove his car into corners three and four for the final time, his car suddenly slowed. Christopher Zenz inherited the lead out of corner four to grab the feature victory. Greg Zenz had to settle for second has Seth Howe-Kellar finished third. Ken Sandberg held off Andy Reed for fourth.
