ASCS Frontier Region Ready For Montana Double-Header

Bryan Hulbert – TULSA, Okla. (June 7, 2018) The season’s second attempt at a Montana double-header is on deck as the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region sets its sights on Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade, Mont. on Friday, June 8, followed the series return to Billings, Mont. at Big Sky Speedway on Saturday, June 9.

The season’s only tune-up before the Grizzly Nationals, Gallatin Speedway is a fan favorite. Three winners in four races in 2017, the last visit saw Trever Kirkland in Victory Lane over Clint Anderson and Bryan Brown.

Formally known as BMP Speedway, the 2018 season brings new owners and a new name. Taken over by Shane Liebig and Jerry Brey, both have a long history of racing in Montana. Looking for a fresh start for fans and teams alike, Saturday, June 9 is the second night of the track’s 2018 opening weekend.

Going into this weekend, Canada’s Kelly Miller holds the top spot in tour standings with a sweep of last week’s season-opening weekend at Black Hills Speedway and Gillette Thunder Speedway. Holding the lead by 23 points, the No. 2jr is trailed by Eric Lutz with David Hoiness in tow. Clint Anderson and Utah’s T.J. Thorne rounds out the top-five in driver standings.

Friday, June 8 at Gallatin Speedway goes green with 7:00 P.M. (MDT) Hot Laps. Admission is $13 for adults, $11 seniors, and kids 12 and under get into the grandstands for free. The Friday affair is sponsored by Wicked Edge Motorsports. For more information, log onto http://www.gallatinspeedway.com or call (406) 388-1060.

Saturday, June 9 at Big Sky Speedway opens at 6:00 P.M. with racing at 7:25 P.M. (MDT). The night includes IMCA and WISSOTA divisions in action. For more information on this and other events at Big Sky Speedway, log onto https://www.bigskyspeedway.com.
