JONES JETS TO ELITE SEASON OPENER VICTORY

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (March 10, 2018) - Kennedale, Texas native Kyle Jones scored the POWRi Lucas Oil Elite Sprints season opener win at Heart O' Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas Friday night, March 9, 2018. Paul White (2nd), Jake Bland (3rd), Tyson Hall (4th), and Chase Parson (5th) rounded out the top five.

The Gordon Woolley Classic proved to be an exciting night with Jones starting in the fourth position and charging past Jake Bland on the bottom groove of the racetrack a couple laps into the feature event. Jones would go on to win the event with Paul White finishing behind him after starting eighth.

JD Fry earned the hard charger honors by starting twenty-second and charging past twelve competitors to finish tenth. Kyle Jones, Jake Bland, and Blake Edwards were heat race winners.

The POWRi Lucas Oil Elite Sprints are back in action tonight (March 10, 2018) at 105 Speedway in Cleveland, Texas.
