Shell Shocked Racing is kicking off 2018 in Daytona

(Indianapolis, IN) - Its going to be a short off-season for Shell Shocked Racing. The Indianapolis, IN based team has registered to be one of the many USAC .25 quarter midgets that invade the beach in February 2018.

Announced last week that USAC .25 had finalized the opportunity to showcase its racers at the Daytona International Speedway during its Speedweeks celebration, Shell Shocked Racing and their driver, Riley Baldwin are excited about the opportunity to race at the World's Center of Racing.

"I am so excited to have the opportunity to race at Daytona. I would not have ever thought I would have this opportunity when I began my racing just over 4 years ago. Thank you to USAC .25 for giving me and all of the participants this wonderful chance to race at this historic track." says the 3rd year Sr Honda driver.

The short off season will end in sunny Florida after a lengthy drive by the family a few days before and after the event. "We have to really plan the schedule out to not interfere with Riley's school absolutely more than it needs to. We are flying our driver to the event arriving just in time to get in the car for the first practice on Thursday morning. Then he will fly back to Indianapolis for school on Monday." states team leader and crew chief Kevin Baldwin. "Its just an opportunity that we didn't want to miss. We will ask his teachers for his homework and he will do that on the flights and between races."

While the team knows the competition will be stiff, they stay focused on the number one goal at the event - Have Fun and Stay Safe - the finishes will take care of its self.
