ASCS Gulf South Returns To Battleground Speedway

TULSA, Okla. (July 12, 2017) Round three on the season at Battleground Speedway, the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region returns to the high-banked three-eights mile oval on Saturday, July 15.

Two winners in the first two visits on the season, Tommy Bryant grabbed the win on March 25 with Ray Allen Kulhanek standing tall in the ASCS Gulf South/SOS showdown on June 17. Going into this Saturday’s showdown, Kulhanek holds a commanding 201 point lead over Zane Lawrence. Louisiana’s Dustin Gates third is trailed by Jacob Lucas and Channin Tankersley to make up the series’ top five.

The 13th round of competition on the 2017 season, seven drivers have earned at least one win with three going the way of Kulhanek and Hafertepe. Tennessee’s Brian Bell in the only other repeat winner with a pair of wins at Jackson Motor Speedway.

Saturday, July 15 at Battleground Speedway gets underway at 7:00 P.M. (CDT) and includes Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds, and Dwarf Cars. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children.
