Practice Night Added To ASCS Fall Fling At Creek County Speedway

TULSA, Okla. (October 20, 2016) Giving drivers a chance to test the surface of the Creek County Speedway, an open practice for teams with the Lucas Oil America Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network as well as the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midgets will be held on Thursday, November 3 at the quarter-mile oval from 7:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. (CDT).

ASCS and POWRi West teams who take part will also get free Pizzas from Pizza Express of Oklahoma.

“We want to give teams, especially ones that have never been to Creek a chance to make some laps. It also gives us a chance to read the track and see where we need to adjust how we prep so we don’t get the track to wet or to dry,” stated event promoter, Emmett Hahn. “We’ll have Pizza for the teams afterwards so they don’t have to worry about running into town to get food if they want to go ahead and camp out.”

Opening gates at 5:00 P.M. to allow teams to begin to park, Creek County Speedway officials will be on hand to make sure everyone gets parked as evenly as possible.

On his outlook for the event, Emmett stated, “It looks like we should have a pretty good turnout for both classes. I know several drivers who plan to run both Sprint Car and Midget, so that’ll be great for the fans to see. There’s a pretty good buzz going around town already, so we should be alright.”

Taking place Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 the POWRi West Midgets will run two complete nights of racing with Friday’s A-Feature offering $1,500 to win, $150 to start. Saturday will see that amount increased to $2,000 to win, $200 to start. All Non-Qualifiers will get $50 both nights.

For the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, Friday’s A-Feature will be $3,000 to win, $400 to start affair with Saturday’s upping the payout to $4,000 to win, $400 to start. Along with the Lucas Oil ASCS, the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Red River Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products will co-sanction the event.

The birthplace of the ASCS rules package, Creek County Speedway is a quarter-mile egg shaped oval situated along old Route 66 between Kellyville and Sapulpa. For more information on Creek County Speedway, log onto http://www.creekcountyspeedway.co.
