Jonathan Cornell Notches ASCS Warrior Win No. 29 With Randolph County Raceway Score

MOBERLY, Mo. (July 16, 2016) For the 29th time against the Speedway Motor ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps, Sedalia’s Jonathan Cornell parked the Kiowa Line Builders No. 28 in Victory Lane.

Cornell’s fourth win of the season with the ASCS Warriors, the Saturday night triumph came at the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo. The make-up from the rained out event during the Red, White, and Blue Tour, the event still carried the $1,776 top prize.

Chasing Randy Martin the first 17 rounds, a Lap 16 restart proved useful for Cornell as the No. 28 shot the high line to the lead.

Kyle Bellm came from seventh to second in the Jeff Smith Racing No. 86 with Tyler Blank scoring a $300 bonus as the night’s Hard Charger thanks to Valley Park West and Key Choice Realty. Blank came from 11th to third with John Schulz and Randy Martin slipping back to round out the top five.

Curtis Boyer was sixth with Danny Thoman, Evan Martin, Lanny Carpenter, and Broc Elliott making up the top-ten. Heat Races were won by Austin Alumbaugh and Randy Martin with the Heats presented by Midwest Specialty Flooring and Overhead Door of Columbia. The A-Feature was presented by Tiger Towing.
