Sixth Annual Father's Day Classic Saturday at CSP!
Celebrate the dads with a loaded racing card featuring winged Sprint Cars and IMCA Modifieds at Saturday night’s Sixth Annual Father’s Day Classic atop the 1/3-mile Canyon Speedway Park clay oval near Phoenix.
The winged Sprint Cars of the ASCS Southwest Region and IMCA Modifieds will headline Saturday’s Father’s Day Classic with the IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Hobby Stocks and Micro Sprints in action as well.
Saturday’s action will fire off at 7:00 p.m. following an open practice on Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
While Logan Forler and Lance Norick have topped this season’s earlier ASCS Southwest events at CSP, it’s Las Cruces’ shoe Rick Ziehl leading the way into Saturday’s action as he guns for a ninth consecutive series title.
Ziehl leads the Southwest ranks by 51 points over Bob Ream, Jr., with Colton Hardy, Casey Buckman and Norick also among the series top five.
After being idle for more than two months, the Arizona Differential IMCA Modifieds are back at it for a second Saturday night in a row after Ryan Roath topped this past Saturday’s card.
While Roath joined Guy Norton and Bubba Stafford as the latest IMCA Modified winners at CSP, it is Zack Madrid just two points ahead of Mike Strobl in the track championship points race with Norton just 15 points off the lead pace in third.
George Fronsman has reeled off four consecutive Allscapes IMCA Stock Car vs. SCRA Stock Car feature wins to extend his points lead to 16 markers over Cody Center while Jason Crowe is just three points ahead of Richard Bennett in the Scottsdale Muffler & Automotive IMCA Hobby Stock vs. Renegade ranks after Joe Vlasity picked off his first win in more than a year this past weekend.
Tyler Merrill picked off his second Power 600 Micro Sprint win of the season at CSP this past weekend after Shon Deskins had topped three of the four previous events.
Tickets to Saturday’s Sixth Annual Father’s Day Classic are just $16 with a $3 discount for Military, Seniors and Students. Children ages 7-12 are $6, with children 6 and under admitted free. VIP passes are available for $20.
