Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway will be extremely busy this coming weekend as the historic facility will be hosting two events in two nights. Friday August 28th will kick things off with Kage Kart racing. The top ten in each class will be locked into the Kart Exhibition on Saturday September 5th the following week.

General admission to the Kart race will be FREE of charge. Pit Passes are $10.00 and Car and Driver fees will be $35.00. The Pit Gate will open up around 3:00 PM and the Pit Meeting is at 6:00 PM with Hot Laps and Racing to follow.

Then Saturday August 29th the 1/4-mile will see the clay fly. Headlining the evening will be the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints as they compete for $1,000.00 to win courtesy of Herz Precision Parts. Also on the card is the IMCA Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Quality RV Repair Hornets. Capping the whole night off will be a Powder Puff race in the Hornets featuring a all female race. This will take place after all main events are completed.

Dave Hibbard has the most wins this season with his four trips to the winner's circle in the Clark Printing Extreme Sprints. Patrick Dills and Colby Carter each have two while Orion Redmond has accomplished just one victory.

Jesse Williamson has been triumphant four times in the IMCA Modifieds while trailing him with three wins are both Kinzer Cox and Curtis Towns. Mark Carrell, Jason Kocks, Mark Wauge, Braedon Hand, and Jake Mayden are the five drivers to have won once.

Coming off of his big Logger's Cup victory last weekend Curtis Towns has put up an amazing eight win race season so far in just fourteen starts. Jesse Williamson has had an impressive run with three victories while drivers who have won once include Bricen James, Joey Tanner, Justin Duty, and Brady Sell.

The same form of dominance has been witnessed in the Street Stocks. Chris Sine has won eight victories in eleven starts. Evan Britton, Steve Dubisar, and Wallbanger Cup winner Kyle Yeack are the three drivers to have beaten Sine this year but on one occasion each.

Finally the Quality RV Repair Hornets are back for their first race since August 8th. Joe Maricle leads the win list with five victories and Brandon Letsom is the only other multi-race winner with his three trips to victory lane.
