Banks, Oregon- After last weekend's disappointing rain out Sunset Speedway Park is anxious to get back to racing. Saturday August 1st will be a great eveing of racing at the “Banks Bullring”. Classes featured include the Northwest Wingless Tour, Pure Stocks, Northwest Dwarf Cars, and the Northwest Focus Midgets.

The Northwest Wingless Tour is coming off of a bye week after their race at Coos Bay on the 18th of July. In addition to NWWT teams on hand there will also be the regulars of the Oregon Double Shot Series making the trip too which should make for a good car count. The Non-Wing Sprints have only been to SSP once this year and Tim Alberding was victorious.

In the Pure Stocks Trevor LaBarge has won four times this year. The only driver close to that number is John Henry with three trips to victory lane. Single race winners include Ken Schave, Aaron Blanchard, and Adam Hopkes.

The Northwest Dwarf Cars have had quite a splendid season at SSP this year. Defending champion Ryan Martinez has returned to his winning form with four wins including the last two. He is the only multi-race winner. Single race victors include Shane Youngren, Guy Tow Jr., Guy Tow Sr., and Chris McCleary. Kalvin Morton would win the series event at Willamette Speedway in late May.

Finally the Northwest Focus Midgets will make their one and only Sunset appearance of 2015 on Saturday. Over a dozen entries are expected and the “Banks Bullring” has hosted some exciting racing in years past.

Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30 each night. Tickets for both events are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
