Justyn Cox Set For WST Weekend

The Western Sprint Tour will be back in action for two nights of action beginning with Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday May 23rd and the weekend will finish off on Sunday the 24th at Cottage Grove Speedway. Representing the Golden State of California will be the Berco Redwood/Berry Lumber/P.M. Truck Repair/LRB Manufacturing/Justice Brothers Car Care Products #31C A.R.T. of Justyn Cox. Cox, from the Sacramento suburb of Clarksburg, has not raced in Oregon since 2013.
“I'm excited to get back to beautiful Oregon,” commented Cox, “it's a like a second home to me and it's where I got my feet wet running 360s. The people there are very nice and friendly.”
Cox has raced over a dozen times in 2015 ranging from 410 to 360 cubic inch engines. He spent a good deal of time competing the World Of Outlaw Sprint Series on their western swing in the spring. Justyn posted his best result of the season on Friday May 1st in local 410 competition at Silver Dollar Speedway.
“I've ran with the Outlaws most of the season,” he would continue, “although the finishes haven't been great just making the mains with those guys is a great feeling.”
Southern Oregon Speedway, located in White City, will host the second race of the Western Sprint Tour season on Saturday May 23rd. Tickets are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Veterans $12.00, Juniors (6-12) $10.00, and Children 5 & Under are FREE.
Cottage Grove Speedway will be the final stop for the weekend on Sunday May 24th. Tickets are Adults $15.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $13.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $8.00, and 5 & Under FREE.
