NELMS Returns To SSP For Spring Challenge Presented By 98.7 The Bull

Banks, Oregon- The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series will be back in action this Saturday May 23rd and Sunday the 24th. After taking a week off they return to Sunset Speedway Park for the Spring Challenge presented by 98.7 The Bull. The NELMS series has visited the “Banks Bullring” twenty-seven times since 2010.
So far in 2015 it has all been Joey Tanner winning the first two races of the season. Tanner won the first race on April 25th driving for Dave Walters and was victorious down in Cottage Grove on May 9th driving for his father Jody. Unfortunately Joey will not be racing this weekend so there will be a first time winner this season.
Of those twenty-seven visits the tour has been on hand Greg Walters has won by far the most, visiting victory lane nineteen times. Collen Winebarger has three wins while drivers with just one include Terry Ferrando, Jerry Schram, Russ Sell, Billy Workman Jr., and Joey Tanner.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30 each night. Tickets for both events are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
