Banks, Oregon- Another exciting night of racing is expected at Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday May 16th. It will be Armed Forces Night which means our normal Military discount of $10.00 has been reduced to just $5.00 for this event. Classes in action include the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Dwarf Cars.

The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds will look for either the first repeat winner of the season or the fourth different winner in as many races. Collen Winebarger, Mark Carrell, and last week's winner Jeff Lovell are all 2015 SSP drivers to grace victory lane. Like always with $650.00 up for grabs some top tier talent will be on hand. Craig Cassell is looking for his first win of the season after three straight second place finishes.

The Street Stocks are coming off of a week off and they have had some awesome races. Tony Catalano has the target on his back after winning the first two races of the season. But there is a fleet of drivers that are looking to overthrow him including James Baker, John Ireland, Brian Roden, and others.

On a hot streak in Pure Stock competition is defending champion Trevor LaBarge. LaBarge has won the last two features while Ken Schave and John Henry have each accumulated one win. Will a fourth different winner emerge or will LaBarge pull off a three-peat?

Finally the local Dwarf Cars will be taking on the regulars of the Pacific Hardtop Racing Association (PHRA). It should make for a good car count as well as great racing. The local Dwarfs have witnessed Guy Tow Jr. and Chris McCleary visit the winner's circle. Will they be able to defend their home turf Saturday night?

Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
