Pro Stock Invitational $755 to Win Friday May 15th!

Attention Pro Stock Drivers:
Friday May 15th is Tri-City Motor Speedway’s Pro Stock Invitational Race paying $755 to win, $135 to start the 35 lap A-Main. TCMS is offering incentives and bonuses to the Pro Stock Racers this Friday. As with all invitationals TCMS is opening up the rules to allow other cars to compete. The rules for the May 15th Pro Stock Race will be rolled back the 2014 rule book.

Pro Stock Incentives to be awarded after the Pro Stock A-Main:

  • A certificate from Brinn Inc. for a Brinn Transmission rebuild up to $600 to be awarded to a random car 6th place on back.
  • One pit pass certificate for a random driver placing 10th place on back.
  • A $25 TCMS parts card to the first A-Main non-qualifier.
  • Five gallons of VP-110 racing fuel to the driver that traveled the furthest distance.
  • A TCMS hat to any Pro Stock driver who registers for the 2015 season this Friday May 15th. (You will bring your paid registration receipt to the tire barn to redeem your hat)

Pro Stock Rule info:

  • If your car is legal to the 2015 Pro Stock rule book you will be able to run.
  • If your car is legal to the 2014 Pro Stock rule book you will be able to run.
  • There will be a rules meeting with all the Pro Stock cars that come to race this Friday May 15th to talk about the 2015 rule book. TCMS will be taking suggestions on the Pro Stock rules to build the class’ car count up.
  • This is not giving you a free pass if your car is not to 2015 rules spec or was not to rules spec in 2014. The book will be enforced and you will need to have your car conformed to either rule book.
  • You will need to have a muffler under 100 DB to race Friday May 15th like it states in the 2014 rule book.
  • You will not need to have the fuel shut off valve in place for this Friday May 15th.

Pro Stock Invitational Line Up info:

  • Heats will be determined by a pill draw.
  • B-Mains will be lined up directly from the heats.
  • In the heats, a driver will get ranked by finishing position. First place will be ranked an 8, second a 7 and so on down the line.
  • The highest ranked cars will start to the back of the A-Main invert. (Ex: if there are 3 heats the top 4 in each heat will be inverted in the A-Main)
  • To break the ranking tie into the A-Main, each car ranked an 8 will be placed based on original pill draw, the same with each car ranked a 7 and down the line.

TCMS is looking to rebuild this class and welcomes your opinions and suggestions about the Pro Stock Rule Book. You can give feedback by calling the track at 989-316-6804 or emailing racing@tricityracetrack.com. TCMS will not debate about rules on social media.
