DCRP Round Two this Saturday!

The Dodge City Raceway Park 2015 championship battles will further take shape with this Saturday night’s second round of action atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas.

Saturday’s tilt will include a full card of Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks.

And, before that full slate of events gets under way, the night will open with some bonus action with the IMCA Modified main event that was postponed by rain from the April 11 season opener, making for perhaps the best value of the season with a general admission price of just $10.

Saturday’s racing action will get under way at 7:30 p.m.

The Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars debuted at the April 11 opener with a strong field of 29 entries. The action on track didn’t disappoint either, with Ty Williams ultimately emerging from a multi-car duel for the lead in the closing rounds.

With the win, Williams is out to the early lead in the Precise Racing Products DCRP Sprint Cars championship points chase ahead of Dodge City’s Brian Herbert, Luke Cranston, C.J. Johnson and Ray Seemann.

Williams was one of four opening night winners along with Jeremy Sigler in the IMCA Sport Modifieds, Michael Pepper in IMCA Stock Cars and Cody Davis in IMCA Hobby Stocks.

With 23 entries on hand for the IMCA Modified opener, Joel Lane and two-time and defending track champion Austin Allen are slated to start on the front row of Saturday’s make-up feature before moving on to the night’s scheduled action.

General admission tickets to Saturday’s championship chase card that also includes the April 11 IMCA Modified feature are just $10, with children 11 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Pit admission is $30.

The 2015 slate of events at Dodge City Raceway Park includes 15 nights of competition with a number of special events along the way, highlighted by the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Boothill Showdown on July 3-4.

The track’s full slate of events is available at http://www.dodgecityraceway.com/schedule/.

Dodge City Raceway Park is located on the south edge of Dodge City, KS, on US 283, then 0.9 miles west on US 56, then 0.1 miles south. For more information, contact the track at 620-225-3277 or check www.dodgecityraceway.com.
