Lebanon, Oregon- Dustin Cady is ready for the 2015 season to begin for the IMCA Modifieds at Willamette Speedway. In fact he's more than ready he's really excited. And for good reason he had a strong close to the season last year posting two top fives, including a win on September 20th, all while finishing fifth in the points table despite getting a little bit of late start to the season.

In just eight starts he would post eight top ten finishes, five top fives, and two total wins. The other win for Cady was the Modified Tribute To Clair Arnold held on August 23rd. Cady is the only repeat winner of the prestigious race as the first time he won the Tribute To Clair was back in 2011 the year he won the Modified championship.

Cady, of Albany, will be piloting the familiar black and yellow Drager Performance/Frank's Fab & Auto of Brownsville/Susan River Reality/Rock & Cady Ranch/D.K. Davenport Trucking/Nelson Family Farms/Öhlins by JDR/Phantom Racing Engines/Meyer's Towing/Advanced Auto Parts/AED Carbs #7 GRT. Dustin has one complete start this year and that was at Cottage Grove on Saturday April 4th. In that race he would make the feature and finished thirteenth after coming out of the B-Main.

“At Grove I put myself in a tight spot because I thought the track was slicking up but it didn't and we were too tight in the heat,” commented Dustin Cady, “we had a lot of speed in the feature and ended up doing okay.”

Cady was on hand for the partially completed event at Willamette Speedway on Saturday April 11th. In that race he was fast even making the trophy dash featuring the four fastest qualifiers. Unfortunately shortly after the dash was completed the event was canceled due to rain showers.

“At Lebanon we were pretty decent and made the dash but there were times where we were still tight so last weekend we did some testing at the track and found some speed and I think we got the tightening issue fixed.”

Plans for 2015 include for Cady running for the IMCA Modified championship at Willamette and hoping to add to his 2011 dream season title. When Willamette has nights off he'll find a place to race and should be active every weekend.

“If we're not racing at Willamette then we'll most likely go to Cottage Grove, that's one of my favorite tracks but most of all I'm just looking forward to having a good season and have fun at it.”

Willamette Speedway is in action this Saturday April 25th with the IMCA Modifieds, Super Sports, Sportsman, and Street Stocks division in action.
