Banks, Oregon- Saturday April 18th will open up the 2015 campaign at Sunset Speedway Park. As mentioned in a previous press release the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds will be on tap but we would like to focus on some of the other classes that will be competing at the “Banks Bullring” on Saturday night. These divisions include the Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and 4-Bee's.

John Ireland won the most Street Stock main events, with four, and also earned the most points to win the 2014 championship. In fifteen races there were seven different winners including Ireland and Tony Catalano won three while Marc Farrar, Freya Smith, and Brian Roden each scored a pair of wins a piece. Earl Claypool and Roger Hubbard would manage to win one main each.

Trevor LaBarge took the Pure Stocks by storm in 2014. After the class had been discontinued in 2013 fans and drivers alike were thrilled to see the reintroduction of the division last season. LaBarge and Ken Schave were tied for most victories with three while runner-up in points Bert Pegg visited victory lane twice. Travis Koch was the only driver that managed just one win.

Ryan Martinez was phenomenal in Dwarf Car action last year. The Dwarf Cars, like last year, will be competing at multiple tracks and aggregating points over the course of the campaign. Martinez would not only win the championship he would also have the most victories in 2014 with six wins. Guy Tow Jr. and Guy Tow Sr. each won twice and single victories were accomplished by Corey Esteban and Chris McCleary.

Finally the 4-Bee's is always an entertaining class to watch. Last season's title winner John Gartner achieved the most victories in 2014 with a total of five while the driver that finished second in points, Travis Koch, won four times. Drivers with just one win include Bo Jones, Jacob Henry, Chris Batalgia, and Stan Asanovic.

Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
