2015 Race Season brings big changes......

The 2015 race season is bringing major changes to the Josh Jackson racing program! At the end of 2014 Josh had the opportunity to run 3 sprint car races for Truman West and SEH Motorsports. Josh put up some impressive results by making the A main event in Las Cruces back in October, and needless to say he was hooked.
After coming off a very successful Legend season where Josh became The Legends of the Southwest overall points Champion and Southern New Mexico 2014 Legend Champion, there was much discussion with his grandfather Bobby Jackson, on which direction to pursue.

Josh had already decided, he wanted to transition to Sprint Cars. Sprint Car racing is a natural fit for Josh considering he was raised by his grandfather who in his own right had a successful Sprint car racing career back in the late 60’s and 70’s. Bobby is and has always been a big supporter of local racers and has enjoyed helping many racers such as Blaine Harvey, Dennis Martinelli, and Sonny Larkin.

Josh Jackson Racing is proud to announce that in conjunction with Hal Burns Truck RV and Equipment Services, Josh will be piloting the 52NM Blue and Orange Sprint Car owned by David Burns who is General Manager and son of Hal Burns. David Burns interest and passion for sprint car racing is a deep rooted tradition shared by all his family, including his sister Madelyn Hatch, nephew James Hatch & brother Hal Burns III as it was passed down to them all by his father & uncles.

Josh is extremely excited about the pending challenges and opportunities that lie before him this season. With the help of David Burns (Car Owner and Crew), Steve Nix (2014 NMMRA Champion & Crew), Clyde Hill & Russ Hein(Crew Members), and chief engine man Mike Civelli. Josh has everything in place for a successful 2015 Race Season. Opening Day is today 4/4/2015 at Sandia Motor Speedway. Gates open at 1pm & racing begins around 3:30pm. It is sure to be a family fun filled day that includes Easter egg hunt for the kids. Come on out and cheer on the 52NM!!

Josh’ s favorite quote for this season since he has a lot to learn is:
"Gotta work on the nut behind the wheel before you start fixing bolts on the car". ----Unknown
