Modified Tribute To Clair Next Race For Willamette; Test And Tune Scheduled For Friday

Lebanon, Oregon- Willamette Speedway 1/3-mile clay oval action returns this Saturday August 23rd for the annual Modified Tribute To Clair. Last weekend the Kage Kart were under the lights for the final leg of the Summer Sizzle Tour. Three classes will be on the card including the Wirth Wireless IMCA Modfieds, Crocker’s Cars Super Sports, and the Albany & Eastern Railroad Sportsman. On Friday August 21st the track will host a Test And Tune session lasting from 4:00 PM to Dusk.

Matt Mitchell has accrued the most wins in the Wirth Wireless IMCA Modified ranks in 2014 with three. Drivers who have won twice include Collen Winebarger, Alex Stanford, and Jeremy Shank. Craig Cassell, Kyle Yeack, and Monte Bischoff all have won once.

In Crocker’s Cars Super Sport action Bricen James has won a staggering six times during the current campaign. Gil Pickett has recorded two wins while both Brian Thompson and Tim Archer have one win each.

Last but not least the Albany & Eastern Railroad Sprotsman division has seen quite a few different winners this year. Brian Smith leads the win chart with three trips to the winner’s circle while Brian Winkler, Jeff Rash, Briley Pompe, and Ron Berry have two each. Steve Moore, Jeff Marson, and Sandy Sanders have one this season.

The Practice on Friday will start at 4:00 PM to Dusk as mentioned above. Pit Passes are $15.00 and the Car & Driver entry fee is $25.00. On Saturday the Pit Gates will open at 1:00 PM, the Pit Meeting will take place at 2:30, Front Gates open at 3:30, and Racing starts at 6:00. Tickets for this event are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
