Full Day of Racing Planned to Kick off the Knoxville Nationals

Due to rainfall at the Knoxville Raceway all day Wednesday the opening night of the 54th FVP Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey's General Store on Wednesday, August 6th had to be postponed to Today.

Thursday, August 7th will feature a double-header with the Wednesday night portion getting underway at 7:15 P.M. (CT) and the Thursday program to follow.

Pits open for unloading and draw begins at 2 p.m. for all drivers, all teams will need to unload for both Wednesday and Thursday night shows at this time.

Wednesday's qaulifying events will be ran first at 7:15 P.M. (CT) and then as soon as the track is reworked and prepared for Thursday's show we will begin the 2nd qualifying night.

All fans will be cleared out of the grandstands at completion of the Wednesday night show. There will be live music playing down by the Show Pavilion off of turn 4 to entertain fans as the track is prepared for the second qualifying night this evening. Fans will not be allowed into the infield until the completion of the second show, to allow the track crew the fastest turn around time.
