ASCS RACES FOR MAY WILL BE REGIONAL EVENTS; SERIES WILL OPEN 2014 UP WITH THE TRIPLE TRACK SHOWDOWN

We regret to inform everyone that the 2014 ASCS-National Tour have elected to not come to the
West Coast due to the possibility of bad weather. Events that were scheduled as National events will now change to regional events, with the exception of the May 17th event at Willamette Speedway. The May 17th event will change to Friday, May 23rd for the “Triple Track Showdown”.
The Triple Track Showdown extended weekend will start with the 2014 race season kick-off starting at Southern Oregon Speedway on Thursday, May 22nd, then Friday, May 23rd at Willamette Speedway and Saturday the 24th & Sunday the 25th will be at Cottage Grove Speedway. You can guarantee that you will see some of the best Sprint Car action that the Pacific Coast has to offer on these dates with the ASCS-Northwest Region.
We are also EXCITED to tell you about the Passing Points Bonus added for this extended weekend. The top 3 drivers that compete in all 4 races of the Triple Track Showdown with the most passing points will receive a bonus. You must participate in all 4 race events to be eligible for this bonus. 1st - $600.00, 2nd - $500.00, 3rd - $400.00, 4th - $300.00, 5th - $200.00. The total combined eligible purses are over $50,600.00, so come on out and race to get your piece of this payout.
Teams are raring to go to open up the 2014 campaign and a good car count is expected to be on hand. Expect to see names like four-time and defending series champion Roger “The Rocket” Crockett, “HVD” Henry Van Dam, “Haulin’” Colin Baker, “Leadfoot” Logan Forler, and many more pilots from all over the region shred the clay in the state of Oregon.
So remember to keep your calendars marked for The Triple Track Showdown weekend, Thursday, May 22nd at Southern Oregon Speedway, Friday May 23rd at Willamette Speedway and both Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th at Cottage Grove Speedway for the opening extended weekend of the 2014 campaign.
