Airborne Triple Crown Series 100 Reset for August 16th

Airborne Triple Crown Series 100 Reset for August 16
Season begins Saturday, May 10th at 5 p.m.

SOUTH PLATTSBURGH – As area race tracks adapt their schedules because of weather-related postponements, Airborne Park Speedway has changed the date of its Triple Crown Series Late Model 100 event and added a DIRTcar 358-Modified race.

The new date for the Triple Crown Series Late Model 100 is Saturday, August 16th.

“This takes into account some necessary changes to Devil’s Bowl Speedway’s Late Model schedule and makes our Late Model 100 the decisive race in the Triple Crown Series,” promoter Jamie Atkins said.

The 1st event of the Triple Crown Series is the Governor’s Cup 150 at Thunder Road June 26th. The Coca-Cola Firecracker Late Model event at Devil’s Bowl Speedway is the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown Series. Drivers must compete in all three races to be eligible for point fund money.

Airborne has added a DIRTcar 358-Modified race Saturday, June 14th – the original date of the Triple Crown Series 100 - to compensate for having rescheduled its Econo Lodge race for Saturday, May 10th because of wet conditions May 3rd.

Post time for Saturday’s Subway Season Opener, presented by Econo Lodge, Casella, and Haun Welding, is 5 p.m. Admission is $15/adults, kids 12 and under admitted free. General Admission ticket stubs from the 5/3 rain out will be honored for the 5/10 race.
