WISSOTA Mods Return to The Valley for Dawg Days Dash

The Old Farmer’s Almanac officially lists the dog days of summer as the 40 days between July 3rd and August 11th, the hottest stretch of summer. Right dab smack in the middle of those long hot days, St. Croix Valley Raceway is going to ratchet the thermometer up even hotter with some intense WISSOTA Modified racing action.
In a rare Thursday night event, St. Croix Valley Raceway will host the Modified Dawg Days Dash on July 18th, featuring WISSOTA Modified racing along with all five regular weekly classes – WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, UMSS Micro Sprints, Pure Stocks, Future Fours and UMSS Traditional Sprints. The Modifieds will be chasing after a $700 first place prize, and all qualifiers will earn at least $70 to start the headlining event.
Other events coming up on the SCVR calendar include The Traditional 40 on July 12, and Thunder in the Valley #4 on July 26. Start times for these shows, and the July 18 Thursday night Dawg Days Dash is 7:05, with the grandstands opening up at 5:30. Information for these and other event can be found on the track’s web site, www.SCVRaceway.com.
