Garrett Smith attends National 100 at East Alabama with XR Super Series

Garrett Smith rolled into East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon to kick off National 100 weekend with the XR Super Series.

Laying down the fourth-quickest qualifying lap in his group, Smith earned the pole position for the evening's main event with a heat race victory. Trading blows with Ethan Dotson in the $15,000-to-win feature, Garrett pulled off on lap 12 and did not return to the racetrack.

Garrett and his team did not return for Sunday's $30,000-to-win finale after an incident in the pit area.
