Kaden Honeycutt leads BLR in All American 100 with 4th-place result
Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) visited Music City with a pair of Pro Late Models on the first weekend in November to participate in the prestigious All American 400 weekend at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The BLR duo of recently crowned CARS Tour Pro Late Model champion Kaden Honeycutt and Brandon Lopez competed in the JEGS CRA/All-Stars Tour All American 100 on Saturday evening, with Honeycutt grabbing a top-five finish.
Thirty-seven cars entered the event at the historic 0.596-mile Middle Tennessee oval for a chance at a $6,000 first-place payday.
In Saturday’s qualifying session, Honeycutt turned in the 16th-quickest lap behind the wheel of BLR's No. 47 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet SS. Meanwhile, Lopez qualified 32nd in the team’s No. 6 Terminal Maintenance & Construction Chevrolet SS after a penalty meant only his slower lap would count.
Honeycutt methodically drove through the field from his 16th starting position, entering the top 10 on lap 30 and taking over the fifth spot on lap 47. He ultimately came home fourth behind Chase Johnson, Hunter Wright and Jeremy Miller. Albert Francis completed the top five.
Lopez was caught up in a crash on lap 18, and although he was able to drive away and the car suffered minimal damage, the toe was knocked out three inches. Rather than risk further issues, BLR elected to retire the car for the evening and Lopez finished 31st.
