Brandon Overton heads to Eldora for Dirt Track World Championship
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) season finale brought Brandon Overton and 60 Super Late Models to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, OH) over the weekend for the 44th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship presented by ARP.
With preliminaries slated for Friday, Overton qualified fourth-fastest in his group aboard his Wells Motorsports No. 76 Infinity Chassis Late Model before placing fourth in his heat.
Relegated into a B-Main on Saturday, Brandon advanced into the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship with 12-lap consolation victory. Pinned on the 10th row, Overton was scored 21st in the final rundown after pulling pitside on lap 45.
