Ken Schrader Conquers Andy Beauchamp 50
A field of 53 POWRi B-Mods was no match for Ken Schrader on Friday evening at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway in the Andy Beauchamp 50. The veteran began his night by racing from the eighth-starting position in his heat race to finish second.
Lining up fourth on the feature grid Schrader found his way to the lead by the ninth circuit. Once out front he paced the remainder of the 37-lap affair, crossing the finish line by 3.016 seconds over local standout Ryan Gillmore with Kyle Slader, Mitch Keeter, and James Thompson completing the Top-5 finishers.
The win was Ken's 13th of the season.
