Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series and Ultimate Heart of America Late Model Series Team Up for a Pair of Fall Events

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (August 27, 2024)- Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and the Ultimate Heart of America Late Model Series are pleased to announce the co-sanctioning of a pair of late-season fall events.

The first of the events that the two series will co-sanction is a Saturday September 14 event at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN that will pay $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start. They will also team up for the 37th Annual VP Racing Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY on Saturday October 12 that will pay $12,059-to-win and $1,200-to-start.

The added event at Richmond Raceway on Saturday October 12 is being added to try to get the Valvoline American Late Model Series schedule back closer to its original number of events, with series drivers with the tour only counting 80% of their best finishes toward the tour’s $38,000 total points fund. The 2024 American Late Model Iron-Man Series champion receives $15,000.

As part of the co-sanctioned events, each series will have two provisional starters at both the Lawrenceburg Speedway and Richmond Raceway events. The entry fee for the Saturday September 14 event at Lawrenceburg Speedway will be $50, while the entry fee for the Saturday October 12 event at Richmond Raceway will be $110.

The event at Lawrenceburg Speedway will be the first for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series since July 19, 2008, which was won by Jerry Bowersock of Wapakoneta, Ohio, while it will be the first ever appearance at Lawrenceburg Speedway for the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series.

The event at Richmond Raceway will be the seventh ever visit by the Valvoline American Late Model Series and the first since September 15, 2018, which was won by Eddie Carrier, Jr. of Salt Rock, WV, while it will be the 19th Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series event at Richmond Raceway, with Camaron Marler of Winfield, Tenn. winning the most recent event on July 20, 2024.

In regard to the 37th Annual VP Racing Fuels Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial event at Richmond Raceway, Ricky Weiss of Headingly, Manitoba, Canada won the 2023 version of the race over Tyler Carpenter of Parkersburg, W.V., James Rice of Crittenden, Ky., Ross Bailes of Clover, S.C., and Dustin Linville of Bryantsville, Ky.
