SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (August 26, 2024)- The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will begin the 2024 Labor Day Weekend of racing at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH for the track’s 13th Annual Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50, with the racers of the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series racing for $7,500 to win and $500 to start main event.

The 13th Annual Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50 is the first of two nights of racing action at Portsmouth Raceway Park on Friday August 30 as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the River Days Rumble 50 on Saturday August 31 that will pay $15,000 to the winner.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will be in action at Portsmouth Raceway Park for the 13th Annual Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50 on Friday August 30 and will be featured in a full program of Todd’s Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance Parts, Heat Races, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 50-lap, $7,500 to win/$500 to start 13th Annual Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50 Valvoline A-Main feature event. Also, in action with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels at Portsmouth Raceway Park on Friday August 30 will be the track’s Limited Late Models ($1,000 to win) and Open Wheel Modifieds ($1,000 to win).

Activities at Portsmouth Raceway Park for the 13th Annual Boone Coleman Memorial Gator 50 on Friday August 30 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. with the drivers meeting set for 6:30 p.m., with practice laps and time trials set to begin at around 7:00 pm. Ticket prices at Portsmouth Raceway Park on Friday August 30 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults (children ages 7-12 will be $10 and children ages 6 and under are free). A pit pass will be $35.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and the tire rule will be as follows: Fronts/Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 and Hoosier NLMT 3; Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2, Hoosier NLMT 3, and Hoosier NLMT 4 (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction rules). The entry fee for the event is $50 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $75 tow money.
