TJ Hartman perfect on Night 1 of the 360 Limited Sprint Showdown.

Elma, WA -
Night 1 of the the 360 Limited Sprint Showdown at Grays Harbor Raceway was a perfect night for TJ Hartman in the Kippi and Axel Walker owned 67x. Also career first win for Dave Brune in an exciting PHRA Dwarf Car Main and Jessie Henry’s first Grays Harbor win in the PMSA Micro Sprint Main.
TJ Hartman set himself up great by getting aggressive the last few laps of the dash and getting the win so Hartman led the field to green and led all 25 laps to pick up the $1000 paycheck and night 1 of the 360 Limited Sprint Showdown. The battle behind TJ was very tight all night long. Keira Zylstra brought out a caution on lap 8 with a mechanical issue. Blaine Cory who made the long tow from Medford Oregon was able to get around Samuel Strange and end the night in second place but never really able to mount any challenge to the leader. Jayden Whitney who had a front hub break in the dash would start 8th and battle to 3rd in his debut at Grays Harbor Raceway. Samuel Strange would hold onto 4th. Ronnie Cox who would arrive late and have to start at the tail of the field would be the hard charger of the night gaining 7 spots and finishing 5th. TJ Hartman and Samuel Strange would get heat race wins and TJ Hartman would win the dash. The top 4 from the main even are locked into the dash on Saturday night.
The PHRA Dwarf Cars were led to green with Jay Elliott and Logan Hendereson and after a caution for a spinning Ron Grimes on lap one there would be a complete restart. On the restart John Chrisman would take the lead but Corey Esteban and Henry Corbin III would be right there and Esteban would take the lead and the caution would come out giving the lead back to Chrisman. On the next restart Esteban would take the lead out of turn 4 and lead for 5 laps until a caution. On the restart Dave Brune would get by Esteban and Esteban would answer again and get by just after the start finish but the caution would come out so we go to the last lap and Brune was the leader. On the next restart Esteban would be able to get the lead again and lead the next big middle chunk of the race and the battle between Brune and Corbin III would be really right with Brune finally getting a solid second and then putting his eyes to Esteban as Brune’s car seemed to get quicker the longer the green flag run goes. With 7 to go the action go wild and every lap we saw tight racing and the lead would switch several times with Esteban better in turns 1 and 2 and Brune better in turns 3 and 4 and the lead would change several times with Brune finally getting to the lead and then a late caution would lead to a 4 lap shootout where Esteban would take the lead and a slight bobble by Esteban would give a slight advantage to Brune but Brune would get high and still keep the momentum and get his first career win followed by Esteban, Henry Corbin III, John Christman, and Mike Chadwick. Heat race wins would go to Mike Brune and Mike Chadwich.
In the PMSA Micro Sprints the young 16yr old from Hillsboro Oregon led the field to green and cruised to her first victory here at Grays Harbor Raceway. Shawn Jones was able to get 2nd in front of Chad David followed by Ron Grimes and Chase Cooper. The heat win would go to Shawn Jones.
We do it all over again tonight with night 2 of the Limited Sprint Showdown with the Limited Sprint winner taking home $2000.00. Also joining in on the fun is the PHRA Dwarf cars and PMSA Micro Sprints again and the SuperStocks and a Figure 8 Exhibition with the Stinger 8’s.
