Dustin Sorensen follows World of Outlaws for swing through Illinois and Iowa
Starting off a four-day swing with the World of Outlaw Case Construction Late Model Series, Dustin Sorensen checked into Highland (Ill.) Speedway on Wednesday afternoon for the Beat the Heat 40.
With 33 Late Models checked in for the opener, Sorensen grabbed the final spot in his heat race and made up one spot in the $10,000-to-win feature to finish 12th.
Thursday's visit to Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.) was rained out.
In Iowa at Maquoketa (Iowa) Speedway the following two nights, Sorensen finished 14th in Friday's opener before recording a 17th-place finish in the Hawkeye 100 finale.
