Robinson attends North-South 100 at Florence
Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) regular Ross Robinson returned with the series on Thursday as twin preliminaries kicked off the 42nd annual North-South 100 weekend at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.).
Against 60 Late Models, Robinson edged his way into the opener with the final transfer spot in his heat. With a $6,000 preliminary payday up for grabs, Ross climbed two positions to finish 17th.
After turning in an 18th-place finish in Friday’s final prelim, Ross backed up a seventh-place heat finish on Saturday with a seventh-to-fourth showing in his B-Main. Using a provisional into the $75,000-to-win North-South 100, Robinson advanced eight spots in the 100-lap affair to cap off the weekend with a 16th-place run.
