Sixth-place finish in Kerby Strong 100 at Macon Speedway
With a tripleheader on tap for the MARS Late Model Championship Series. Daniel Adam checked into Sycamore (Ill.) Speedway on Friday afternoon for the series' first-ever visit to the facility.
Opening the weekend with 27 entries, Adam laid down a strong qualifying lap before taking the checkered flag in his heat race. Rolling off third in the $5,000-to-win main event, Daniel faded outside the Top-10 to finish 13th.
For Saturday's $10,000-to-win event at Macon (Ill.) Speedway, Daniel started 12th in the 100-lap feature and kept his nose clean to score a Top-10 outing in sixth.
Wrapping up the weekend on Sunday afternoon at East Moline (Ill.) Speedway, Adam was running inside the Top-10 until a late mechanical failure resulted in a DNF.
Daniel has now moved into eighth in the point standings.
