13th-place finish in rain-shortened USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway
Tyler Erb returned with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Case Late Model Series over the weekend as Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) hosted the 37th running of USA Nationals.
After Mother Nature shifted Thursday’s round of preliminaries to Friday afternoon, Erb backed up an eighth-to-fourth heat showing with a consolation victory. Moving forward in his 25-lap opener, Tyler gained five positions to finish 15th.
Later Friday night, Tyler climbed spot in the final 25-lap preliminary feature to recorded a 19th-place outing.
Racing into $50,000-to-win USA Nationals finale on Saturday night with a B-Main win, Erb was running in 13th when persistent rain forced officials to cut the 100-lapper short on lap 56.
