SUMMER SIZZLE POSTPONED | SEPT. 28 NAMED FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT

ODESSA, MO. (July 27, 2024) – POWRi League Officials, in coordination with I-70 Speedway staff, have decided to postpone the Saturday, July 27 Summer Sizzle Presented by Mid American Automation Services event. Slated to feature the headlining POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint League, as well as divisional stock
car competition, a make-up date is pending.

“For full transparency, our pre-entered teams are lower than expected for tonight’s show. We collectively agreed it is best to postpone tonight to avoid a poor showing for the fans and the track,” said Kenny Brown of POWRi.

A note from I-70 Speedway General Manager, Casey Shuman:

Our absolute #1 priority is our fans, we know that without them, racetracks like ours can’t survive. We met and had discussions with the POWRi staff, and with the expected entry list, we don’t feel like it would provide the fans with the type of show they expect when spending their hard-earned money. In no way am I trying to put all the blame on the series, I know the time and effort it takes to do that job, as well as the time and effort our staff at I-70 Speedway puts into preparing for an event. We looked at numerous different options to try and make something work, but it really does come down to our fans, and trying to provide quality entertainment for their money. All online tickets sold will be refunded. Any tickets that were won through our radio advertisements will be good for the August 24th event.

We plan to move the stock car portion of the tonight’s program to the KC Cup event on Saturday, August 24.

We also are making the POWRi Double event featuring POWRi 410 Winged Sprints, 305 Winged Sprints, and B-Mods on Saturday, September 28 Fan Appreciation Night with $10 General Admission.
