(Middlebourne, WV) — The ‘Biggest Racing Weekend of the Summer’ at America’s Baddest Bullring returns this Labor Day weekend, August 30 - September 1. The 56th Annual Hillbilly 100 at Tyler County Speedway, where Carl Short’s legendary event continues its tradition, promises another thrilling edition. Mark your calendars and get ready to witness the oldest dirt late model major event in America, as the Hometown Racing Association welcomes the best fans in racing for three days of intense action around the ‘Bullring’.
The Lucas Oil Dirt Car Racing Series, featuring stars from the premier traveling circuit, will return to Tyler County Speedway, with $30,000 up for grabs and the opportunity to add their names to the historic Hillbilly 100 legacy. Fans can expect three and four-wide racing with top drivers from across the nation competing for glory.

Secure your spot at this historic event and save by purchasing advance tickets! Enjoy one of the best deals in motorsports. Advance three-day general admission tickets are just $70 for adults, with children 10 and under free. Advance three-day pit passes are $85, with children 5 and under free. Ticket sales are available online through the Tyler County Speedway website at www.tylercountyspeedwayonline.com or by contacting the speedway ticket office at 304-771-5661.

General admission prices are $70 for a three-day pass in advance and $75 at the gate. Single-day tickets are $15 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, and $40 for Sunday. Kids 10 and under get in free. Pit admission is $85 for a three-day pass in advance and $90 at the gate. Single-day pit passes are $30 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, and $50 for Sunday. Kids 5 and under get in free. Reserve seating is also available, with the top 4 rows of the grandstands available for the weekend at just $10 per seat, in addition to the ticket price. Race fans can reserve their seats by contacting the Tyler County Speedway office at 304-771-5661 or by sending checks or money orders to Tyler County Speedway, PO Box 475, Middlebourne, WV 26149.

The campground will be open all week long, providing a perfect setting for an end-of-summer getaway. Facilities include limited water and electric hookups, showers, dump stations, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and more. Camping costs just $20 per night on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The event kicks off on Thursday, August 29, with early Pit Parking and Will Call/Tickets on Sale from 4-7 PM, along with Hillbilly extracurriculars throughout the campground. On Friday, August 30, the on-track action begins with the UMP Modifieds $1,500 to win ‘White Lightnin’ tune-up race and the ‘Bootlegger 20’ $700 to win Street Stock main event. This night also features preliminary events for the EDGE Hotmods and Sportmods, along with Open Practice for Super Late Models, Steel Block Late Models, RUSH Late Models, and SCDRA 4 Cylinders.

Saturday, August 31, highlights the legendary ‘Hillbilly 50’ for Steel Block Late Models with a $5,000 first prize on the line in the 50-lap race. The best UMP Modified racers return for a $5,000 payday in the ‘White Lightnin’ 35’. The SCDRA Northeast Tour hits the track with preliminaries, and the program rounds out with the ‘Lil’ Hilly 20’ and ‘Moonshiner 20’ feature events for the EDGE Hotmods and Sportmods.

On Sunday, September 1, the 56th edition of the Hillbilly Hundred takes center stage, featuring the Lucas Oil Dirt Car Series paying $30,000 to win. The day also includes the $4,000 to win ‘Brown Jug 30’ for the RUSH Late Model Series, the $2,500 to win ‘Ridge Runner 30’ for the SCDRA, and the Ohio Valley Roofers Legends Car Series ‘Billy Bob 20’ complete show.
