Ferguson seventh in night one of Davenport Deal; starts in Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury
Heading back to the Midwest after the weekend in South Dakota, Carson Ferguson unloaded the Paylor Motorsports No. 93 at Davenport (Iowa) Speedway on Monday afternoon for the first night of the XR Super Series-sanctioned Davenport Deal.
Laying the down the seventh-fastest lap in qualifying, Ferguson finished third in his heat race before moving up a couple spots in the $15,000-to-win feature to finish seventh.
Turning his attention to the famed Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Wednesday afternoon, Ferguson was among a massive 65-car field checked in for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America's "One for the Road" event.
Nabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race, Carson started 14th in the 50-lap feature before he got swept up in a mid-race incident which ended his night.
After an off-day, Ferguson was right back in action at FALS as he qualified 24th in his stacked qualifying group. Starting 12th in his preliminary feature, Carson finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
Starting 10th in a last chance showdown on Saturday, Carson charged to a transfer position to earn his spot in the $50,000-to-win finale. Ferguson made up three spots in the 100-lap feature to finish 17th.
