Nick Hoffman Sweeps Iron-Man doubleheader at MRP and Atomic

Davenport Deal and PDC at Fairbury Up Next

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (07/23/24) – Nick Hoffman picked up a pair of Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series victories over the weekend with back-to-back wins in the state of Ohio aboard his Tye Twarog Racing / NOS Energy Drink No. 9 C&W Trucking / Longhorn Chassis / Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

After banking Friday’s $7,000 top prize in the Dustbuster 40 at MRP Raceway Park, Hoffman increased his weekend winnings with a $5,000 sweep at Atomic Speedway on Saturday evening.

"I felt pretty good there and Josh was on a little bit harder tire," Hoffman said. "He showed me a nose and I kind of had to hustle again to get away from him. And then I had to get pretty aggressive in lapped traffic a couple of times there, just to make sure I got a little bit of a gap. Our car was good. Kinda of tweaking on things trying to get better racing against them (World of Outlaws) guys."

Nick Hoffman joined the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series on Friday at MRP Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) to kick off a pair of events in the state of Ohio with the track's Dustbuster 40.

Taking on a stout field of 49 Super Late Models aboard his Tye Twarog Racing No. 9 Late Model, Hoffman raced into the weekend opener with a heat race victory. Lined up on the front row for the feature, Nick drove ahead of pole-starting Josh Rice early and paced the remainder of the 40-lapper to secure the $7,000 payday and his eighth win of the season. He finished 1.860 seconds ahead of Rice with Jason Jameson rounding out the podium.

On Saturday at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio), Nick topped the 29-car field in time trials before placing first in his heat. After leading laps 1-14, Hoffman regained the lead on lap 38 and steered to his second win in as many nights.

The $5,000 paycheck marked Hoffman's ninth overall win of the 2024 campaign.

Hoffman’s race week has already kicked off with a fourth-place finish in the XR Super Series-sanctioned Davenport Deal opener on Monday at Davenport (IA) Speedway. After Tuesday’s $20,000-to-win finale, the team will invade the Land of Lincoln for a crown jewel weekend at Fairbury Speedway.

Action kicks off with a $20,000-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event on Wednesday night before an off-day to regroup on Thursday.

On Friday, the 34th annual Prairie Dirt Classic takes center stage with prelims leading up to the $50,000-to-win World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series main event on Saturday night.
