Weber Secures First Win of Season, Bigham earns Feature Hat Trick
Norton Raceway Park’s fifth week of racing action was able to see some awesome battles during the heat-filled night. Intense racing in the spark-filled Legends and Modified divisions kept the fans engaged until the final checkered flag fell. We want to thank everyone for their support!
Here are the race recaps for all our feature races this past weekend:
Bandoleros: Chloe Mazzagatti Five Feature Dominance
The #87 Bandolero of Chloe Mazzagatti was able to speed away in the Bandolero class, having won her fifth feature race of the season. After taking the lead on lap one, she pulled away from her competitors parking her #87 machine in victory lane.
Trophy Stock: Noah Kaufman Returns in Winning Fashion
The #17 Trophy Stock driven by Noah Kaufman was able to see itself in Victory Lane once again. The dynamic duo of Shawn and Noah Kaufman have been able to preserve the winning streak of the #17. Although Noah had taken a few races off, he came back in a winning fashion, weaving his way through the pack en route to the fifth win of the season for him and his crew.
Legends: Weber’s Hard Fought Victory
The #48 of Bradley Weber has been in contention for multiple wins this season. The fifth week proved to be his opportunity to shine. Weber was able to take the lead and not look back, feeling pressure from drivers such as the #97 of Evan Finley and #77 of Nick Gullatta. Although the battle was intense until the final lap, Bradley was able to hold onto victory, securing his first win the of the season in a competitive field.
Street Stocks: Collmar’s Three in a Row
Cody Collmar is starting to show his pure dominance in the Street Stock division, winning his third feature race of the season. It was smooth sailing for the #32 Street Stock once he got out to the front, even though competitors such as the #88 of Dennis Wood and the #22 of Kylee Wood made it a tough battle. His third win of the season looks to be one of many more to come soon.
Compacts: Will Custer’s Drive to Victory
The compact race was able to see a lot of action-packed racing throughout the entire field since the green flag dropped. The #7 of Will Custer was able to drive his way through the field, getting to the front of the field and never looking back. This is Custer’s fourth win of the season, and he looks to be just getting started.
ACE Racing League: TJ Farrar’s Second Win
The ACE Racing League was able to make their way into town for their second race of the season. One of the leaders of the field, T.J. Farrar, was able to secure his second win of the season piloting the #95 machine. After working his way through the field, he drove off securing his place in Victory Lane.
Modifieds: Bigham Secures Third Win
After an intense battle for the lead, the #60 of Sam Bigham was able to win his third feature race of the season. Starting from the back of the pack, Bigham patiently worked his way through the field, waiting until the last lap to make a move that would secure him his spot in Victory Lane. His dominance in the Modifieds division shows that he could potentially be a championship contender.
