Sixth-place finish in Rallen Zeitner Memorial at Shelby County
A three-race swing kicked off for Dylan Thornton on Thursday afternoon with a trip to Marshalltown (Iowa) Speedway for a weekly event in his Salty's BBQ & Catering No. 38T Stock Car.
Starting the opener in seventh via a heat race win, Thornton climbed three spots in the 40-lap affair to finish fourth.
For the Malvern Bank West Series-sanctioned Rallen Zeitner Memorial on Saturday at Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa), Dylan stormed into the $7,600-to-win A-Main with a fifth-to-second heat showing. After leading laps 3-33, Thornton faded to sixth at the checkers.
His weekend concluded with a double duty start at Benton County Speedway (Vinton, Iowa) for Urbana 5 Memorial before the rain came. After weighing in light at the scales following his Stock Car feature, Mother Nature postponed the Modified main event to a date to be determined.
