Robards and LaRose bring home top-5 finishes at Coles County

The RS12 Motorsports duo of Harrison Robards and Zander LaRose turned in impressive drives on Saturday during the team’s weekly outing at Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois.

In the A-Class Wing ranks, Robards grabbed fifth in his heat on the 1/8-mile track and raced from sixth to third in the 20-lap A-Main. He rounded out the podium behind Collin Shian and Noah Mehl, with Parker Perry and Drake Stanaland completing the top five.

Robards also entered the Non-Wing Micros class at Coles County. He notched the runner-up spot in his heat and began the 20-lap feature from the fourth spot. He ran strong early, but ultimately came home 12th after recording a DNF.

Meanwhile, Zander LaRose raced in the evening’s Junior Sprint program. He claimed the fourth spot in his heat and both started and finished fifth in the 15-lap main event. He took the checkered flag following Dalton Clary, Ryker Toops, Jasper Hellman and Parker Perry.
