Hagerstown Speedway


HORST AND WHITT BREAK THROUGH FOR INITIAL HAGERSTOWN TRIUMPHS. KENT SAVORS CAREER NIGHT WITH SEMI LATE DOUBLE

Hagerstown MD, (7/13/24)- It would be a busy night this past Saturday at Marylands Hagerstown Speedway as a total of seven features would be contested during the program.
In the make up 20-lap Crate Late Model feature from the rain shortened June 29th program, Stephens City Va’s Jacob Whitt came from his fourth starting spot and would go on to claim his first career Hagerstown feature win aboard his Rocket No.33. “It’s a dream come true to win here at Hagerstown Speedway.” Whitt stated in victory lane. “We had a great car tonight and what an awesome feeling to get a win here.” Codey Breeden, Tyler Horst, Brayden Anderson and 12th starting Scott Sweeney Jr rounded out the top five.
In the regularly scheduled 20-lap feature Waynesboro Pa’s Tyler Horst drove from his sixth starting spot to also score his elusive first career Hagerstown feature win with his familiar Rocket No.14H. “We’ve been doing this for 14 years now and we finally got it done.” Horst said post race. “I just can’t thank enough all the people who have stuck by me over the years and without them, we wouldn’t be here right now.” 17th starting Mike Walls took second with Levi Crowl, Allen Whitt Jr and 12th starting Codey Breeden completing the top five.
The Semi Lates also ran two features, the June 29th “Dirty 30” and their regular 15-lap contest. It would be quite a night indeed for Woodsboro Md’s Steve Kent as he would score his first ever Hagerstown feature win in the make up event and then steer his No.1C to the win in the scheduled 15 lap contest. In the make up event Jasen Geesaman took second with Dylan Rutherford, 19th starting Bryan Kerns and Allen Brannon trailing at the finish. In the second event Jasen Geesaman took his second runner up finish of the evening with Dillon Wilson, 9th starting Allen Brannon and Brady Neff completing the top five.
The UMP Modifieds also had a twin feature program that found Pasadena Md’s Jimmy Jesmer Jr. take the victory in the first event. Brandon Inglish, Michael Pappas, Ridge Bookwalter and Rick Hulson followed. In the second event Severn Md’s Cody Oliver would drive to his first career Hagerstown victory. 11th starting TJ DeHaven took second, Brandon Inglish, Bret Hamilton and 9th starting Rick Hulson would round out the top five.
In the 15 lap Pure Stock main Evan Foust continued his breakout season as he collected his division leading 4th feature win of the season. Randy Linaburg, Keith Reed, Tom Caravello and Bailey Johnson Would complete the top five.
