Chase Holland continues season with Governor’s Cup at Magnolia

A major event in his home state was on tap for Chase Holland over the weekend as he competed in the prestigious Governor’s Cup at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.

On Friday, Holland was one of 53 Crate Model competitors at the 3/8-mile track looking to lock into the next day’s $10,000-to-win feature. He recorded the fifth-quickest time in his qualifying group aboard his Champion Commercial HVAC No. 45 car and drove to a fourth-place finish in his heat race.

The performance started him 16th on the grid in the 75-lap main event.

Holland was running inside the top 10 of Saturday’s feature with just over 20 laps to go, however, he faded late and brought home a 17th-place finish.
