Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels Set for 4th Annual Dustbuster 40 at MRP Raceway Park on Friday July 19

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (July 14, 2024)- The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will make its second visit of the season MRP Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio for the track’s 4th Annual Dustbuster 40, with racers competing for $7,000 to win and the event will pay $1,000 to start. The feature purse alone is in excess of $40,000.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will be at MRP Raceway Park on Friday July 19 for the 4th Annual Dustbuster 40 and will be featured in a full program of Todd Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance Parts, Heat, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 40-lap, $7,000 to win/$1,000 to start 4th Annual Dustbuster 40 Valvoline A-Main event. Other divisions in competition at MRP Raceway Park for the Impact RaceGear 40 on Friday July 19 will be the track’s Sport Mods, Compacts, and Legends.

As an added bonus by L&M Performance, each heat race event will see the top four finishers earn extra money, with each heat race paying $1,000 to win (2nd-$500, 3rd-$250, 4th-$100). There will also be a Last Chance Dash event for the four fastest non-qualifiers, based on time trials, with the winner earning a starting spot in the Dustbuster 40 main event (second through fourth in the dash will receive $100.)

Activities at MRP Raceway Park for the 4th Annual Dustbuster 40 on Friday July 19 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., with hot laps and time trials beginning at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices at MRP Raceway Park for the 4th Annual Dustbuster 40 on Friday July 19 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, while a pit pass will be $45.

The Valvoline Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and the tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier NLMT 2, Hoosier NLMT 3, and Hoosier NLMT 4 anywhere on the car (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction rules). There is NO entry fee for this (courtesy of MRP Raceway Park) and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver that does not transfer from a B-Main will receive $125 tow money.

In the tour’s previous visit to MRP Raceway Park back on June 14, Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, WV would be victorious over thirteenth-place starting Josh Rice of Crittenden, KY, James Rice of Crittenden, KY, Cody Mahoney of Hanover, IN, and Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH. Josh Rice of Crittenden, KY is the defending Dustbuster 40 champion, having won the 2023 event over Nick Hoffman of Mooresville, NC, Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, WV, R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH, and Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY.
