Wil Herrington makes Big Frog Motorsports debut at Butler Speedway
Taking the reigns of the Big Frog Motorsports No. 58, Wil Herrington made his debut with the team at Butler Speedway (Quincy, Mich.) on Thursday with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.
Kicking off week five of the Hell Tour, Herrington topped his qualifying group before running second in his heat race. Storming to the lead from his third-row starting position, Wil led 21 laps until Tyler Erb swiped the lead away from him. Spinning on a late restart, Herrington recorded a DNF in 16th.
As the field exploded to 53 entries at Crystal (Mich.) Motor Speedway on Friday, Herrington transferred through his heat race before falling behind in the A-Main where he would finish 15th.
For Saturday's Birthday Race at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio), Herrington found more speed in the $10,000-to-win feature and made up four positions to land just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
With the week coming to a close at Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) on Sunday, Wil took a provisional to start the $5,000-to-win finale and finished 16th.
