Dillon McCowan shows consistency with five Top-5 finishes in fourth week of Hell Tour

Primed to tackle another week of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Dillon McCowan unloaded his Empire Energy No. 8 machine at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) to kick off week four of the Hell Tour.

Opening up the week with a car count of 42 Late Models, McCowan finished runner-up in his heat race which placed him on the fourth-row for the $5,000-to-win feature where he would come away with a fifth-place finish.

Wednesday's event at Benton (Mo.) Speedway was washed out.

Picking up a heat race victory on Thursday , McCowan finished just off the podium in fourth at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Ark.) before scoring another Top-5 finish on Friday evening at Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway.

For Saturday's $10,000-to-win showdown at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway, Dillon raced to his best outing of the week with a podium finish in third. He trailed David Breazeale and Jadon Frame while Christian Hanger and Oakley Johns completed the Top-5.

Trying to chase down Tanner English in the week's point standings, McCowan had one more shot at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Ind.) on Sunday. Despite a solid fourth-place outing, Dillon still came up a few points short of capturing the fourth week points title.
