Ken Schrader
Rough Night at Old No. 1 for KSR; Bounces Back at The Ditch
Ken Schrader returned to the driver's seat on Tuesday night at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.
Twenty-five DIRTcar Modifieds took to the clay oval, and Ken's night started with the fast time overall, which earned him the pole position for the first heat race. Unfortunately, things would go south for the team from there. Ken slid back to a fourth-place finish in his heat race, which lined up 10th on the feature grid.
In the main event, Schrader was collected in an accident early, which ended his night in the 23rd position.
After getting rained out on Wednesday night at Benton (Mo.) Speedway, the team returned to action on Thursday at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Ark.) with another DIRTcar Summer Nationals event, which drew 28 Summit Modiifeds to the historic 1/4-mile oval.
Ken enjoyed a bounce-back outing with a 14th-to-sixth charge in the night's feature.
On Saturday night Schrader rolled into the familiar confines of Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Mo.). With 15 DIRTcar Modifieds in action, Ken won his heat race before charging from seventh to third in the feature behind Kenny Wallace and Tyler Worley.
