Dylan Thornton finishes sixth with Malvern Bank Series at Southern Iowa
After a one-day break, Dylan Thornton broke out his Modified on Monday at Independence (Iowa) Motor Speedway for the Storm Shield Shootout.
Following a seventh-to-second run in his heat race, Thornton was an early retiree from the 20-lap feature while running in fifth.
In the Kay Motorsports No. 38T Late Model ranks on Wednesday at Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, Iowa), Dylan raced to a sixth-place finish in the Malvern Bank East Series sanctioned feature.
After back-to-back rainouts, Thornton rejoined the Malvern Bank East Series on Saturday at Adams County Speedway (Corning, Iowa) for the Gail and Karen Hampel Memorial. Gunning for the $3,000 payday in the feature, Dylan rolled to a consistent 10th-place finish in the 25-lap affair.
Dylan’s weekend drew to an early end after pulling off on lap 12 of Sunday’s Modified feature at East Moline (Ill.) Speedway.
