Record-Paying $7,000-to-win Dustbuster 40 at MRP Raceway Park now Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series-sanctioned on July 19

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (July 2, 2024)—Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP are pleased to announce the addition of the Fourth Annual Dustbuster 40 at MRP Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio for Friday Night July 19, 2024.

The event now pays a record $7,000-to-win and $1,000-to-start the 40-lap feature. The night boast purses and awards in excess of $40,000. Drivers will earn heat race money for the top-four finishers and all drivers that do not make the feature field through the Consolation Races will receive $125 a piece. There will also be a “Last Chance Dash” for the four fastest non-qualifiers (based on qualifying times) where the winner will transfer into the 40-lap main event. The three non-transfer cars will each receive $100 a piece. The L&M Performance-sponsored Heat Race top-four finishers receive the following: 1) $1,000, 2) $500, 3) $250, 4) $100.

“Larry (Pickelheimer) and family at MRP have stepped up this race for the drivers and fans each year and we’re honored to sanction it,” stated Series Promoter Chris Tilley. “More money has been added to the purse this year and with extra awards, the drivers really benefit from a good paying race and we’re thankful we have promoters like Larry that gives back to the drivers as much as he does,” stated Tilley again.

Former winners of the Dustbuster 40 include: Josh Rice of Crittenden, Ky. (2021 & 2023) and R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio in 2022. When the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series last visited MRP Raceway Park back on June 14 for the Impact RaceGear 40, Zack Dohm of Charleston, W.V. took home the $5,000 prize over Josh Rice, James Rice, Cody Mahoney and Rusty Schlenk who rounded out the top-five.

The tire rule for the Dustbuster 40 event on July 19 will be Hoosier NLMT 2, NLMT 3 & NLMT 4 anywhere on the car that night with no limit on tires used. There will be NO ENTRY FEE to Super Late Model drivers that night courtesy of MRP Raceway Park. In addition to the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series, the Sport Mods, Compacts and Legends will all be on the racing card for the evening.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels next events will be at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Ind. on Saturday July 6 for the 10th Annual Born Free 40 paying $5,000 to win/$500 to start and at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. on Sunday July 7 in an event that will be co-sanctioned with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals that will also pay $5,000 to win/$500 to start.
